Sales Support Specialist

Department: ISSS - Sales Support
Location: Chanhassen, MN

Novaspect, Inc, an Emerson Local Business Partner and global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity in our Sales Support group in our Chanhassen, MN location.  The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills to deal with customers and collaborate with other departments in the company, such as order management, inside sales, finance, outside sales, warehouse and marketing.  The position also requires excellent customer service skills to enable them to deal politely and effectively with customers’ inquires and issues.  Key responsibilities will be to provide outside sales and project engineering with details of customer orders and alerting them of delivery or other customer issues likely to impact the overall customers’ relationship with Novaspect

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Single point of contact for all divisions (Internal/External customers)
  • Familiarity with basic understanding of all Product and Service offerings
  • Customer facing/day to day phone support
  • Ability to understand our customers’ needs and working with others to make sure we are satisfying their requests
  • Develop strong working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of appropriate business practices and procedures
  • Proactive customer reporting and documentation needs
  • Create and maintain Customer Support Matrix 
  • Handle customer expediting requests by working with appropriate internal groups, coordinating completion, and ensuring timely responses back to the customer
  • Manage customer returns from start to finish
  • Participate in customer meetings as required
  • Assist with account planning (SAM & C-CAD) 
  • Customer experience leadership
  • Assist with marketing and new product launches
  • Work closely with outside sales to plan and execute customer events
  • Coordinate education and training requests  
  • Actively participate with team members to achieve company goals
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:                     

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales or manufacturing environment
  • Extensive and exceptional customer service practices.
  • High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems.
